Linda's dad, Verne Jay, and Rod Serling were writers on the continuity staff of WLW, the NBC affiliate in Cincinnati, in 1950. These pictures were taken during a vacation that the Serlings and Linda Jay and her parents took at Brown County State Park in Indiana in 1950.

Rod Serling and Verne Jay collaborated on a murder mystery, "A Walk in the Night," that aired nationally on the "Philip Morris TV Playhouse" in 1954. It was the only time Serling had a co-author.
