When I was about 10 years old my mother took me and my sister shopping. We went to a department store that we had been to before but we hadn't been there for a while. My sister and I would always try and find things to do to make the shopping experience as tolerable as possible. Usually we'd set up hangers so they would fall if someone brushed against them and then laugh when the person had to pick the item up (now I can't help but chuckle a bit when it happens to me). Anyway, the store looked different for some reason. They had totally re-done the inside and in my young mind I could've sworn that the store used to have another floor even though there was no evidence of another floor. During our mischief, my sister and I came across an elevator tucked away in a far corner. We got in the elevator and sure enough there was a button for the second floor. I pressed it and we started ascending. When the doors opened I almost fainted. It had been only a few weeks since I had seen "The After Hours". The floor resembled the 9th floor in the episode and there were mannequins everywhere. I quickly pushed the 1st floor button and found my mom and clinged to her the rest of the time we were in the store. The image of that floor has stuck with me for 20 years and I'll never forget it.
